Section 21(1)(b) Notice
A section 21(1)(b) notice is used to terminate an Assured Shorthold Tenancy at the end of the fixed term or in accordance with a break clause. A landlord must have served this notice or one under section 21(4)(a) if he requires possession of the property. It must give the tenant not less than two months notice that possession is required and must be given in writing as opposed to by email.
