Marveen Smith worked as a Lettings Agent and Lettings Trainer in her own highly successful firm before retraining as a solicitor and specialising in Residential Landlord and Tenant Law before becoming one of the founding partners of PainSmith Solicitors. She now combines her role as a qualified solicitor with regular lecturing for the National Association of Estate Agents, the Association of Residential Lettings Agents, and national and international private clients as well as for legal training firms such as Central Law Training. She has also been engaged to produce texts for the residential lettings market by groups including RICS and the Law Society.

David Smith gained his doctorate and experience as a university lecturer before retraining in law and specialising in Landlord and Tenant matters. He has successfully combined his academic experience with practical legal knowledge and lectures for private clients as well as regularly being invited to speak before audiences for ARLA, the NAEA, the CLT, particularly in regards to recent changes in legislation. David is also an Accredited Mediator.
