Helpline Terms and Conditions
Helpline Services are provided on the following terms and conditions.
1. All advice is given in good faith and is based upon the information supplied by the helpline subscriber at the time. PainSmith Solicitors cannot be held liable for any loss suffered by helpline subscribers or their clients if inaccurate or incomplete information is given. We may ask questions to elucidate information to assist us in answering your question but we are not obliged to do so and a failure by us to ask questions that may have altered our advice will not incur any liability on our part.
2. Advice is provided solely by telephone and will not be provided in writing. If you wish advice to be provided in writing a further charge will be made for this service.
3. Advice given is specific to the individual case being discussed and is not intended to be applied to other situations. If you do so then it is at your own risk.
4. Advice is provided Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 9am and 5.30 pm and on Saturdays between 10am and 1pm.
5. The helpline does not include:
- drafting or amendment of documents or clauses,
- preparation of letters, or
- supporting you through litigation when we are not directly instructed.
6. Helpline services will be withdrawn if accounts are in arrears
7. Helpline advice is provided for subscribers and not to their clients. PainSmith will not enter into discussions with clients of helpline subscribers in relation to advice given to helpline subscribers. PainSmith Solicitors will not accept any liability for losses incurred by clients of helpline subscribers based on their advice unless those clients are directly instructing PainSmith Solicitors.
8. PainSmith Solicitors reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions from time to time without notice and at their sole discretion. Your use of the helpline service constitutes your acceptance of these terms.
All other services will be subject to an additional charge plus VAT.
