About Us
Marveen Smith was a founder of PainSmith, a specialist Landlord and Tenant law firm .PainSmith Solicitors only practice in the complex field of Landlord and Tenant law and all their practitioners specialise solely in this field. This is different from many more traditional firms of solicitors where individuals are frequently moved between departments or cover a large number of different areas of law. Since all of our team work solely in landlord and tenant law they have a practical experience and knowledge of the field that is unmatched elsewhere in the legal sector. PainSmith are not simply 'eviction specialists' (although they are strong in that as well), they cover all aspects of landlord and tenant law and have particular strengths in more complex areas such as residential agricultural tenancies and the new Housing Act 2004.
We strive to maintain a close working relationship with our clients and strive to understand the business and needs of individual clients to improve the way in which we interface with the client's organisation.
We will give strong advice where necessary based upon our professional skill and judgment and will not shrink from telling unwelcome truths. We will counsel you against any course of action which in our opinion would be ill-advised for legal or commercial reasons. We will not encourage you to carry forward litigation in order to build our reputation if that is not in your best interests. Where possible we offer solutions to problems through lateral thinking.
